SOCIAL COMMITTEE
What we may lack in big city night life, we make up for in neighborhood activities that foster our heightened sense of community at Carter Plantation. Social events for Carter residents and friends are held at the homes of residents, the Historic Carter House, the Carter Plantation Pavilion and Dining Room, the Carter Plantation Conference Center, and beyond.
Past activities included: pool parties, bunko nights, Halloween costume parties, trick or treat, parades and activities for the kids/grandkids, Mad Hatter Ladies Luncheon, TGIF Couples Golf Scrambles, Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties, Easter parades and egg hunts, St. Patrick’s Day parade, trips to the horse races, and out of town golf outings. And, there is so much more to come. The Social Committee plans events for all ages and interests, and welcomes your suggestions and participation.
PLANTATION BIBLE BUDDIES
Carter Plantation residents and friends are invited to participate at any time in the Ladies Bible Study Group. Begun in an effort to bring a close knit community even closer by growing together spiritually as we minister to one another’s emotional and physical needs, and to reach out in service to others in the Springfield community.
Doing Life Together has blessed our neighbors, families, and friends as we pray for one another and grow in our relationship to our Lord. God says that where two or more are gathered in My Name, there I AM. Our group is currently meeting on Monday evenings from 7-8 PM in the home of one of the group members. We use books, videos, devotionals, and self-study Bible guides as the basis for our discussions, and we always end each gathering in prayer. Whether you are able to join us now or in the future, please let us know if there is anything we can pray for on behalf of you or someone you love.
