The Annual CPCA Golf Tournament was held Monday, May 12 to benefit the Historic Carter House Society Inc. (HCHS) and the Springfield Fire Department. The portion of the proceeds presented to the HCHS was $12,940.36. This was the largest amount the organization has received from a fund raiser and all the funds go toward restoration of the Carter House. The tournament had more teams participate and the CPCA was fortunate to have Hyundai as a corporate sponsor.
The cost for a foursome was $600.00 and the format for the tournament was a shot gun start 4-man scramble. There were a number of prizes given out at the end of the tournament and everyone enjoyed playing on the spectacular Louisiana Audubon Golf Trail course designed by David Toms.
The HCHS Board would like to thank the CPCA and the following sponsors for making the tournament a success!
